In 1905, the two physicians who founded Piedmont Hospital were considered “ahead of their time.” And since its beginnings, Piedmont Hospital has been a pioneer in patient care, fulfilling the health needs of our neighbors in Atlanta and the surrounding communities.
At Piedmont Hospital, we are dedicated to the health of you and your family. The experienced doctors on staff at Piedmont provide compassionate, quality care in an advanced healing environment. With over 40 years of combined experience, our board certified physician staff is highly trained in all types of surgeries.
We constantly strive to achieve absolute patient satisfaction. In 2011 and 2010, Piedmont Hospital ranked No. 1 among hospitals within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta according to the publicly-reported survey of patient satisfaction by (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey. In April 2008 (first public release), Piedmont Hospital ranked first of 38 hospitals in the Atlanta market in the first national standardized, publicly-reported survey of patient satisfaction by HCAHPS.

In July 2011, Piedmont Hospital ranked as the top acute-care community hospital in metro Atlanta and the metro area’s No. 2 hospital overall (an increase from No. 3 in April 2011) on the 2011-12 Best Hospitals list by U.S. News and World Report.
As a not-for-profit organization, Piedmont Hospital has no shareholders; we are accountable to those we serve. Individuals who serve on our various governing boards include independent members of the community who generously give their time and talents for the betterment of patient care. Hospital earnings go directly back into maintaining and improving hospital services and facilities, and to educational, outreach and research activities. This allows us to offer the most advanced, specialized care possible.
